⭐ About This Clip
Derek couldn't build the day before because Cowork wasn't showing up in his workspace. His wife had signed them up for a Cloud Teams account, and once he confirmed Teams was enabled and changed the settings it still failed — so he asked Claude to walk him through it like he was six, hit an old-email Microsoft login prompt after a restart, and finally got in.
Jodi affirmed the whole path and thanked him for bringing it back to level zero for everyone who overthinks AI. When Derek hit a 'could not attach to MCP server Apify' notice on the desktop app, she told him to add Apify as a connector and use the credit code apify_loves_tub that had been shared the day before.
Key Points
- Cowork wasn't visible until Derek fixed his Teams plan access
- A stale Microsoft login blocked him after restarting his computer
- "Explain it to me like I'm six" beats overthinking AI
- The Apify error means you add Apify as a connector
- Use the credit code apify_loves_tub shared the day before
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session segment, members should be able to:
- Troubleshoot Cowork access by checking your plan and login settings.
- Connect the Apify MCP server as a connector in the desktop app.
- Apply the apify_loves_tub credit code to activate Apify.

Hey, I think I got everything figured out. I was really tracking yesterday with what Carter was saying, but I wasn't able to build because I wasn't able to access Cowork. So every time I went to my workspace, Cowork was not there. And then I realized that I had to download Claude. This is really for somebody else, somebody's having the same issue.
Jodi • 32:22
I think I saw a comment in the chat as well.

So I was able to see Cowork, but I had no access to it. And so I went into settings. My wife was traveling. She was the one that signed us up for a cloud team account. I wasn't sure if it had to be team or pro or whatever. So I found out that Teams was accessible. I changed the settings, but then it still wasn't working. So I went into cloud and I said, okay, pretend I'm a 6 year old and walk me through how to do this. And so I did. It gave me five different options. It was talking about a sandbox and shovels. And I was like, this is my lane. I freaking love it. I'm tracking this. And this is all due to A2A. So finally I was able to figure out what it was asking. It was going into code on my computer and this is stuff that's way over my head. So I was able to get it to work, but then I shut my computer down, I restarted it, and then when it came back up, it asked me a Microsoft question and I couldn't log back in. And it was an old email address, et cetera, et cetera. So yesterday was a little bit frustrating. I was tracking with Carter and I think now that I have access to Cowork, I'll be able to go and do what I need to do. We've been doing pretty well on the file management. My wife is really the organizer for the files. So we're like 90% there on the file development. It's just now getting the files into Cowork, and I can go back and watch the video yesterday. So anyways, I felt like a five year old, like, why can't I figure this Cowork thing out? It shouldn't be that difficult, but yesterday it was. So if anybody else is experiencing that, I thought I'd ask that question.

I love it. Thank you. So honestly, thanks for bringing it back to like level zero for everybody. Because I think sometimes, especially with AI, it's so easy to overthink it. And then the littlest things are the big things, like just prompting it, explain it to me like I'm six. You know what, I just need you to break it down for me. Let's get back to lunchboxes. Let's get back to sandboxes. Yeah, so I love that. Thank you for that reminder, Derek.
Derek • 34:33
Yeah. So one more quick question. It's giving me a notice saying could not attach to MCP server Apify. So maybe that's because this is the desktop version. And now I need to go and connect the Apify app. Is that correct?
Jodi • 34:49
Yes. Yeah. I would go do the Apify app as a connector. And then you also have that code. Right. You saw that there was that code that was given. I think it was yesterday. Right, Jenny with the credits.
Derek • 35:03
Yeah, I think I saw that.
Jodi • 35:05
If you have that again and wouldn't mind putting it in the chat.
Derek • 35:08
No, I haven't.
Jodi • 35:08
Apify loves underscore tub.
Derek • 35:11
Okay. I did write it down. Yeah.
Jodi • 35:14
So yep. So just go connect it. I like to use my cloud desktop over really everything. And I think now that you have your co work set up you'll start understanding why.
Derek • 35:24
Okay. Sounds perfect. Thank you, Debbie.
Jodi • 35:27
Thanks so much, Derek, for just coming and sharing that. I think a lot of people found value, so thank you.
Derek • 35:32
Yeah, you're so welcome. Thank you, guys.
