🤔 Why Claude
Claude is the one required tool in A2A. You'll use it every week.
- It writes like a person. Emails, proposals and posts sound warm and clear, not robotic.
- It can read a lot at once. Upload long PDFs, transcripts, screenshots, even a photo of your notebook.
- It makes real files. Ask for a PDF, a Word doc or slides, and download them.
Claude is also your teacher. Stuck on anything, even how to use Claude? Ask: "Walk me through this one step at a time."
🛠️ Set it up (about 10 minutes)
Step 1: Pick your plan. A2A needs a paid Claude plan. Start with Pro monthly ($20 a month). You can switch to yearly ($200) once you know you love it. You don't need Max. Compare plans
- Does your company give you Claude (a Team or Enterprise plan)? Check with them before you buy your own.
- The free plan is fine for a first try, but it doesn't meet the A2A requirement.
Step 2: Sign in on the web. Go to claude.ai and sign in with the account you'll use all program.
Step 3: Get the desktop app. Download Claude using the link at the top of this page (Mac or Windows). Open it and sign in with the same account.
Step 4: Check your plan. Open Settings and make sure it shows your paid plan.
Company computer won't let you install? Ask your IT team, and use Claude on the web for now. Official install guide
🔒 Privacy and memory settings
Privacy: On a personal plan, open Settings → Privacy. Choose whether your chats can help improve Claude. Turning this off changes how future chats are used. It doesn't mean nothing is ever stored.
Memory: Claude can remember things from your past chats, so you don't have to repeat yourself. It's on by default for Pro plans.
- Open Settings → Memory to see and edit what Claude remembers.
- You can pause memory or turn it off any time.
- Want a chat Claude won't remember? Use an incognito chat.
- On a company plan (Team or Enterprise), your company decides whether memory is turned on.
🧠 Pick your model
Claude has four models. Start with Sonnet. Switch up when the job is big, or down when it's quick.
Bigger models are slower and use more of your plan's limit. That's why Sonnet is the best place to start.
🎬 See it in action: prep for a meeting
You have a meeting with a CEO tomorrow. Here's how Claude gets you ready in minutes.
Step 1: Ask with RCRQ. (Role, Context, Request, Question, from How to Talk to AI.)
I want you to think like Alex Hormozi. Be simple and to the point. I'm about to meet with the CEO of Johnny Pops, a local popsicle maker. Come up with 10 topics I should bring up, based on their history, current operations and growth. Ask me any questions you have before you answer.Step 2: Answer its questions. Claude asks what the meeting is for and what you already know. Tell it.
Step 3: Turn it into a file. Say: "This looks great. Turn it into a PDF I can print before the meeting."
Step 4: Add your handwritten notes. Snap a photo of your notes and upload it. Say: "Read this photo and add it to the PDF as a next-steps section."
You'll see Claude write code while it works. You don't need to understand it. You can hide it.
Pro tip: Claude's second draft is where it shines. Try: "Now make it sound like a warm friend."
🎯 Your turn
Pick one real meeting you have this week.
- Open Claude and start a new chat.
- Fill in the blanks and send it: "Act as [who]. I'm meeting with [who] about [what]. Give me [what you need]. Ask me clarifying questions."
- Answer its questions.
- Ask for a PDF or Word doc you can use in the meeting.
- Got handwritten notes? Snap a photo and ask Claude to add them.
🧰 Other names you may see: Cowork and Claude Code
Cowork is Claude doing bigger, multi-step tasks for you, like research, building files, or working with files on your computer. It's included with paid plans. Working with files on your computer needs the desktop app.
- For some accounts, Chat and Cowork are now one Claude, so you may not see a separate Cowork option. That's normal.
Claude Code is Claude built for writing software. You don't need it for Week 0.
You'll see more of what Claude can do as the program goes on. Cowork guide
